Sarah Nelson Wright, Bio:
Sarah Nelson Wright creates socially-engaged and site-specific media projects. Her work encompasses emerging media, installation, video and public art, and explores issues surrounding the environment, labor and urban placemaking. Interdisciplinary research and collaboration with other practitioners are central to her process. She employs site-specific media and emerging technologies to reveal hidden layers of meaning that spark community engagement.
Wright holds a BA in American Studies from Yale and an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College. She is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Marymount Manhattan College (2013-present).
