Statement:
Comment Williamsburg is a space for people with a connection to the neighborhood to record a living history of their experiences, memories and opinions.
Williamsburg, Brooklyn, has undergone rapid changes, which have amplified recently with new zoning that allows large development. The goal of Comment Williamsburg is to create dialog about the neighborhood and its character and to explore how space has been used in the past and how it will be used in the future.
I hope the site will encourage a more democratic history of Williamsburg, as well as a collective imagination for the neighborhood’s future.
